What You Need to Know About Workplace Violence

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries (CFOI), of the 4,547 fatal workplace injuries that occurred in the United States in 2010, 506 were workplace homicides.

No workplace is exempt from violence; therefore, you should be proactive in protecting your employees from any unforeseen acts.

Many factors play a role in the cause of workplace violence, some common factors associated are:

  • stress
  • job loss
  • alcohol/drug abuse
